Here you can find maps of the world and images of globes.
The oldest known map of the world is the Babylonian map from the 6th or 5th century before Christ.
Worldmaps are common from the 15th century.
In the years 1500 to 1700 very nice copies are made, such as the worldmaps by Ortelius and De Wit.
